Kyōko Umekōji (梅小路 響子) is a main character in the Aikatsu Planet! series. She is a student at Seirei Private High School and the current student council president. Kyōko's avatar in Aikatsu Planet is Beat.

Kyōko's ladylike nature has led her to have a mature air around her, always presenting beauty and grace. A main trait within Kyoko is that she stays true to herself, wether she is Kyoko or as Beat. She strongly believes no matter what mantel one takes on, one should always be themselves instead of trying to impersonate others.

Shiori Motoya (本谷 栞) is a main character in the Aikatsu Planet! series. She is a student at Seirei Private High School. Shiori's avatar in Aikatsu Planet is Shiori.

Shiori has dark brown eyes with a beauty mark next to her right eye. She has thin eyebrows. Her slightly wavy dark brown hair is at chest length and several hair is tied into upper crown braid, her bangs pinned back behind her head. Shiori is usually shown in her school uniform. Her avatar form before officially becoming an idol depicts her with bright green eyes.

Ann Kurimu (栗六 杏) is a main character in the Aikatsu Planet! series. She is a middle school student. Ann's avatar in Aikatsu Planet is Ann.

Ann is described to have a fluffy and aggressively cute personality, as even when she's annoyed she is still described as adorable. She is somewhat clingy to the person she is close with, as seen with her interactions with Ayumi, and would be very jealous if someone addresses Ayumi in a close mannerism.

Sala Itoi (糸井 紗良) is a main character in the Aikatsu Planet! series. She is the dress designer on Starlet Promotion. Sala's avatar in Aikatsu Planet is Sala.

Sala is a reliable older-sister type, always there for idols to talk to, as well as thinking about them personally. Sala is shown to have an intense passion for dress-making, to the point of leaving her idol career (prior to the anime) to pursue dress-making. Sala is the type of person who often asks questions to herself, and will isolate and cave herself in her room until she finds the solution to said question. She also seems like she likes trying new things, as seen when she is trying to bake a cake in Episode 11 and decided to become an idol once again in Episode 17.

Ruby Kurosawa is a main character in Love Live! Sunshine!!. She is a second-year student at Numazu High School. She is a member of CYaRon! and YYY, two sub-units under Aqours, and was a member of the special sub-unit AiScReam. Her image color is pink.

She was a first-year student at both Uranohoshi Girls' High School prior to its closure and Seishin High School (albeit temporarily) before fully integrated into Numazu High.

Ruby is very shy and timid, which makes it hard for her to get along with other people. She has a tendency to utter or scream "Pigii!!!" when she doesn't like something; in the event she screams, her face will turn red as she does so. She has never talked to any males besides her father before, so she has always been bad at dealing with the male gender. Although she is fearful and easily upset, she does has a tough interior forged by her role as the daughter of a rich, well-known family.

Ruby is very close to her friend, Hanamaru. She also meets Leah Kazuno in TOKYO, who she also becomes very close with.

From a different perspective, Ruby is adaptable and mostly admired by her friends, and they support her no matter what; despite the fact the Second Years are considered "the heart" of Aqours, Ruby does not have difficulty getting along with the rest of the group unlike her fellow First Years' or the Third Years', as seen in Season 2 Episode 2. Her catchphrase is "Ganbarubii!" (がんばルビィ！ lit. "Rubesty"), a portmanteau between "ganbaru" (頑張る try with full effort) and her own name; she uses this phrase to encourage herself or others to do their very best. Ruby also speaks in the third person from time to time, just like Hanamaru. However, she tends to use "watashi" as a first-person pronoun.

Due to the strong bond she shares with her sister Dia, Ruby will immediately display her tough interior and defend her sister when a negative point of her is brought up, as seen in Season 2 Episode 8. Ruby is also shown to have a playful and mischievous side of her when she teases Yoshiko Tsushima's Fallen Angel behavior and her embarrassing moments (alongside Hanamaru), which annoys Yoshiko all the time. She also despises spicy food, as seen in Season 1 Episode 10, when she eats a takoyaki filled with tabasco sauce instead of octopus sauce.

Mari Ohara is a main character in Love Live! Sunshine!!. She was a re-enrolled third-year student at Uranohoshi Girls' High School until she graduated in the anime's series finale. She was a member of Guilty Kiss, a sub-unit under Aqours and a member of the original group. Her image color is violet.

Mari has a cheerful, eccentric and mischievous personality, makes many jokes, and often prefers to work by herself. She always keeps her chin up when faced with hardship so as not to burden others, and is ready to try her hand at anything. However, as a half-foreigner, she does not feel that she is very suited to being a Japanese-style idol.

Despite Mari's cheerful personality, there are times when she can be serious as shown in Season 1 Episode 9.

Mari speaks with an accent, and she has a high, cheerful voice. Mari often inserts English words (Italian in the English dub) into her sentences, but when she is sad or serious, the pitch of her voice becomes lower, she loses her accent, and she uses English words less.

Kasumi Nakasu is a main character in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is a first-year student at Nijigasaki High School. She is a member of QU4RTZ, a unit under Nijigaku and the founder of the group itself. She was also a member of the original group. Her image color is pastel yellow.

Although slightly self-centered and mischievous, Kasumi is a kind, friendly and lively girl who loves all things cute, and her love for idols is unrivaled in strength and inspiration. Kasumi wants to be number one in any competition she's in, and often resorts to cheating or even sabotage to achieve that goal. As a consequence, she is a sore loser whenever she achieves anything other than first place. In general, Kasumi spends a lot of her time scheming or thinking up new ways to ensure her own victory; however, these plans often fail or aren't as devious as she thinks. However, even with her scheming streak, Kasumi has the capacity to be considerate and kind to her fellow idols. For example, she tries to rile up the group when Ayumu is nervous before their live and exchanges genuine Christmas gifts with the Dengeki Online group.

She hates the nickname Kasukasu (かすかす) which roughly translates to "just barely" or "not quite", and gets in a bad mood when she is referred to with it. In All Stars, it is revealed that some bullies in her past used to call her this, hence her disdain for the nickname.

Yu Takasaki is the main protagonist in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is a second-year student at Nijigasaki High School. She is the manager (and later honorary school idol) of Nijigaku. Her image color is black.

She also served as the adaptation's representation of the player character in Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS.

Syaro Kirima (桐間　紗路) is a protagonist in the Is the Order a Rabbit? manga as well as the anime. She works at the Fleur de Lapin café. She is voiced by Maaya Uchida.

Syaro is a sensitive and bashful girl who has insecurities when it comes to her image. She is easily flustered and worries that her friends think she is a rich and sophisticated lady when in actuality she is a poor girl living in a humble home- but with fancy interests and hobbies. She is kind and somewhat withdrawn, but she can be sarcastic and blunt at times. She is quite jumpy and easily frightened, for example, when her friends tell ghost stories she covers her ears because she doesn't want to hear them, and she also has leporiphobia due to her not being able to walk home from school because a small wild rabbit was standing in her path and feared that it would attack her.

Syaro becomes very hyper and playful when under the influence of caffeine. She also admires Rize and shows a very respectful side towards her.

Megumi Natsu (奈津　恵) is a secondary character of the Is the Order a Rabbit? manga series as well as its anime series. She is Chino Kafū's classmate along with Maya Jōga.

Megumi is gentle and friendly with a light personality. She is sweet and always in a good mood, but she is genuinely shy about doing things before others. Although she doesn't show it off often, she is a talented ballet dancer and is noted for being really graceful.

Chiya Ujimatsu (宇治松 千夜?) is a main character of the Is the Order a Rabbit? manga as well as the anime.
Her family runs their own café, called Ama Usa An, which has its own rabbit mascot, her pet rabbit Anko.

Chiya is a soft-spoken girl with a genteel demeanour and a penchant for formality and tradition. She is always in a spacy mood, preferring to keep things peaceful and enjoyable with a bit of mischief.

Behind the ladylike veil, Chiya possesses many idiosyncracies. She finds pleasure in giving the sweets of Ama Usa An rococo names such as "Red Jewel in a Snowy Field" and "Moon and Stars Reflected Upon the Sea". She also enjoys scary stories and disturbing others at times, and she dreams of becoming a samurai. She is shown to enjoy teasing her friends once in a while.

Midori Aoyama (青山 翠 Aoyama Midori), better known by her pen name "Blue Mountain" Aoyama (青山 ブルーマウンテン), is a writer who frequently visits Ama Usa An, Fleur de Lapin and Rabbit House. Her most famous work is The Barista Who Became a Rabbit, but she has also written a book based on Syaro Kirima, known as Caffeine Fighter.

Aoyama has a look of refinement and speaks at a slow and relaxed pace - appearing absent minded at times. She is looked up to and is wise, but she hides a perverted nature and enjoys peeking up girls' skirts.

Mocha Hoto (保登　モカ Hoto Moka?) is the older sister of Cocoa Hoto and a character of the Is the Order a Rabbit? manga series. Starting with Season 2, she began appearing in the anime.

Mocha is a lot like Cocoa. She can be air-headed and adores cute things, and is very gentle and kind to others. However, she has the aura of a big sister and seems to be very dependable by others. She is known for being more talented than Cocoa, but while she appears to have no flaws or weaknesses, she is very lonely without Cocoa. She carries a rolling pin around with her and likes surprising others.

Shinobu Omiya is one of the main characters on both the manga and anime Kiniro Mosaic. Shino is a graceful, optimistic girl who loves western culture. She previously stayed over at Alice's home in England, although she herself is rather bad at English and has generally bad grades.

Alice Cartelet (アリス・カータレット Arisu Kātaretto) is the main heroine of the Kin-iro Mosaic series.

When Alice and Shino first met in England, she was shy towards Shino, and they could not communicate with each other due to the fact that they speak in different languages. But after a week of Shino's homestay in England, they became good friends, causing Alice to develop her love of anything Japanese.

Yoko Inokuma is one of the main characters on both the Manga and Anime Kiniro Mosaic. Yoko is an energetic and athletic person who often serves as the tsukkomi character of the show. She has been friends with Aya and Shinobu ever since middle school, though since the latter left for England, Yoko became closer with Aya.
Yoko is quite dense when it comes to Aya's feelings. She constantly tugs on her weak points and can easily make her blush and all the while doing this unintentionally. Yoko does, however, seem to care a great deal about Aya and worries about her if she seems down.

Yaya Sasame (笹目 ヤヤ, Sasame Yaya) is a supporting main character in the Hanayamata series. She is Naru Sekiya's best friend who has both brains and beauty, but messy handwriting. She is talented in playing drums, and sometimes writes songs for her band Need Cool Quality.

Yaya is overprotective towards Naru Sekiya to the point of calling Naru "hers", and has tsundere-like tendencies despite not actually being a tsundere.

She often displays a cool personality, which Naru looks up to. But underneath the cool display, Yaya can actually be a crybaby if she wants to. When Hana N. Fountainstand left Japan, Yaya was seen crying harder than anyone else even though she disliked Hana during the first few episodes.

Machi Tokiwa (常盤 真智 Tokiwa Machi) is the student council president, the younger sister of Sari Tokiwa and a close friend of Tami Nishimikado.

Whilst generally strict, Machi is particularly weak to sweet things, as well as Tami Nishimikado's general requests. She is initially hostile towards Sally for leaving home, but she soon comes to understand her true feelings and joins the yosakoi club.
