ElevenLabs and Jammable both work with AI voices, but they solve different problems. ElevenLabs is a speech company first: lifelike text-to-speech, voice cloning, dubbing and conversational agents, plus a newer music generator. Jammable is a singing tool: it takes a vocal and sings it back in a different voice.
Everything about ElevenLabs below comes from its own site and docs, checked on the date shown. We only state what those pages say.
What does ElevenLabs do?
ElevenLabs' homepage lists text-to-speech in 90+ languages, voice cloning (instant and professional), a voice library, voice design from a prompt, sound effects, speech-to-text, dubbing, image and video tools, conversational agents for phone and chat, and Eleven Music. Its voice changer turns a recording of your voice into another voice and, it says, keeps "whispers, laughs, accents, and subtle emotional cues".
What is ElevenLabs Music?
Eleven Music generates new tracks. Its page says it can "generate lyrics, instrumentals, and full songs with vocals" from "a lyric, mood, loop or voice recording", in many languages, and lets you select a section and regenerate just that part. A feature called Vocals keeps one voice consistent across your songs, either from its Vocal Library or from music you upload, and Voice-to-Song turns a single voice recording into an original track.
ElevenLabs says the songs are cleared for commercial use on paid plans, with limits by tier: the Free plan is personal use only, and Starter is commercial use without streaming.
What Eleven Music does not describe is a cover: taking an existing vocal and keeping the melody, timing and words while changing who sings it. Its pages talk about generating original songs.
Can ElevenLabs sing?
Yes and no, depending on the tool:
- Eleven Music sings, in the sense that it generates songs with sung vocals.
- Professional voice clones don't. ElevenLabs' cloning docs say: "Professional Voice Clones do not currently support singing" and "Audio recordings must consist of spoken voice only." You also can only clone your own voice, after a verification step.
- Instant voice clones need 1 to 2 minutes of clean audio; the docs don't mention singing either way.
- The voice changer is described for speech. ElevenLabs does have a Singing Voice Changer page that offers "hundreds of Singing AI voices", but it doesn't say whether it works on a full song with music or needs a solo vocal, and the voice changer docs don't mention singing at all. Each conversion is capped at 5 minutes.
So if your question is "can ElevenLabs make a song?", the answer is yes, with Eleven Music. If it is "can ElevenLabs re-sing my vocal in another voice?", its own pages don't promise that.
What does Jammable do?
Jammable is built for that second job. You add a track, pick one of 60,000+ community voices across music, anime, cartoons and gaming, and get back a cover sung in that voice. Jammable separates the vocal from the music itself and mixes the new voice back in, so you don't need a clean solo vocal. You can make duets with several voices, and every plan includes unlimited covers, downloads and text-to-speech.
You can also train a singing voice of your own. Use your own voice, or a voice whose owner has agreed to it. Jammable needs at least 3 minutes of clean singing or speech, and a 10-minute dataset is usually ready in about 25 minutes. It trains RVC models, the kind the AI cover community uses, and you can also upload RVC models (.pth plus .index) you already have.
Jammable doesn't change your voice live, and it doesn't write new songs from a prompt. For new songs, Eleven Music is the better tool.

Using ElevenLabs and Jammable together
The two don't really compete, so you can use both: ElevenLabs for the spoken parts of a video, and Jammable for the singing. One way to pair them is to make an original track in Eleven Music, or record your own, and then re-sing it on Jammable in a different voice or in a voice you trained on yourself.
How to make a singing cover in another voice
- 1
Have your track ready
Use your own recording, or a song you made, for example in Eleven Music. Jammable separates the vocal from the music, so a finished mix is fine.
- 2
Pick a voice
Browse the voice library of 60,000+ community voices, or train your own from 3 minutes of singing.
- 3
Make the cover
Open Create, add your track and choose the voice. Add a second voice for a duet if you like.
- 4
Download or share it
Download the finished cover, or on Creator turn it into a shareable video.
Hear your track sung in one of 60,000+ voices, with unlimited covers on every plan.
