Kyōko Toshinō (歳納京子 Toshinō Kyōko?), also spelt Kyouko Toshinou, [5] is a main character in the YuruYuri manga and anime franchise.
Aside from the original manga and anime (including OVAs and ONAs), she appears as a supporting character in Reset!. Kyōko is also a leading character in the isekai spin-off Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken.

Kyōko is optimistic and flamboyant and a substantial part of the focus of YuruYuri.

Kyōko is a kind, upbeat, loud and albeit selfish, person who is often bothering Yui and crushing on Chinatsu (initially because of her similarity with her favorite anime character in appearance). She has the tendency to disturb others around her by invading their space and acting freely without thinking. However, she doesn't have any malicious intent.

She is lazy and dislikes studying, but is a talented and applied artist. Despite her lazy attitude, she often gets high scores in tests after cram sessions and is also a talented dōjinshi artist. She loves the magical girl character known as Mirakurun, from an anime. In Season 1 Episode 05 "When Akari and the Cicadas Cry", Kyōko sells her Majokko Mirakurun doujin (under the pen name "Ramuko Nishikyogoku") at Comiket with her friends.

She loves rum raisin ice cream and she is also a hardcore Otaku, and prioritizes her dōjinshi over studying. She sometimes writes stories about her friends.

When she was little, her personality was very different, as she was timid, quiet and easily upset. This changed dramatically at an unknown point.

Chinatsu Yoshikawa (吉川ちなつ Yoshikawa Chinatsu?) is a character in the YuruYuri series who appears as one of the main characters in YuruYuri, MiniYuri, Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken, and a supporting character in Reset! and Ōmuro-ke.

She is a pink-haired girl in Akari Akaza's class who originally wanted to join the tea ceremony club, but ended up joining the Amusement Club as the tea ceremony club was abolished. She is often chased after by Kyōko Toshinō (initially in part due to her resemblance to Mirakurun), though she herself has passionate feelings for Yui Funami. She acts and exudes cute, especially in the presence of Yui, and is helpful to her club by being its tea-maker, but she sometimes shows dark thoughts and when attempting to draw something she displays terrifying artistic skills.

The majority of the time Chinatsu has a cute and rather innocent personality (it is shown that she will exhibit that more whenever she is around Yui Funami). Whenever she and Akari Akaza are alone, she is persistent to know more about Yui (as seen in Episode 05, she makes a Yui-senpai test that she gave to Akari but ends up... Doing something...)

She was exhausted by the effort of posing as Mirakurun to make Mari (Yui's relative) happy (although seeming genuinely satisfied when it made her happy), taking on a tired, abrupt attitude. Upon having realized that Chinatsu isn't quite like Mirakurun, Mari has since grown melancholic about her.

In episode 11 it was revealed that she once bullied Akari, Kyōko and Yui at a playground before they knew each other.

Despite her cute facade, she often reveals a frightening inner self, which is shown in her horrifying drawings, as well as her sewing and cooking skills, and the fact that she forcefully kissed Akari. She used to be a bully when she was in elementary school, and still doing it sometimes like when she suggests splashing water on Akari while she's in the toilet.

She's seen acting unladylike whenever she's tired, exhausted, or during hot weather, like lying down on the floor with an oldman pose or scratching her back with Mirakurun's rod.

Chinatsu is terrified of scary things, as shown when she gets teased by Kyōko on many occasions (and once by Chitose). She is utterly frightened on both occasions when she watches a horror movie, also scaring the person watching it with her. For Yui, this resulted in scary arm-shaped bruises on her own arm where Chinatsu was clutching it. In Akari's case this gave her a huge shock when she saw Chinatsu's weird expression during the movie.

Rise Matsumoto (松本りせ Matsumoto Rise?) is a character in the YuruYuri series who appears as a supporting character in YuruYuri, MiniYuri and Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken.

She is the current student council president who has very little presence (even less than Akari) and often speaks in an inaudible voice that only a few people such as Nishigaki-sensei can understand. She is often used as a test subject for Nishigaki-sensei's inventions. It has been noted that she has been present at a few occasions but has not been shown that she was there until a later episode. She is also the only known third year student, making her the oldest known student.

Not much is known about her personality, but she's shown to be a quiet and level-headed individual, in stark contrast to her student council companions. She's really close to Nishigaki-senpai because they do a lot of experiments together.

Himawari Furutani (古谷向日葵 Furutani Himawari?) is a character in the YuruYuri series who appears as a supporting character in YuruYuri, MiniYuri, Ōmuro-ke, and Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken.

Himawari is a member of the student council and the older sister of Kaede Furutani.

Himawari is a mature and delicate girl who is often having lady-like behavior and mannerisms. She has a rather formal speech and is willing to help people in need.

Around Sakurako Ōmuro, her personality changes drastically into a bitter, mistrusting one. She is used to the latter's antics, and usually ends up berating her with varying degrees of violence and bitterness. She does tend to show a lot of care and concern about her, often assisting her to do homework or generally hanging out with her, proving they do get along despite the constant bickering. Their relationship used to be much closer during their childhood, enough so Nadeshiko Ōmuro decides to set up a make-believe wedding for the two.

While she is mostly a good student, Himawari is far from being sporty. Her poor performances cause her to worry about any upcoming PE tests, which causes Sakurako to tease her, since unlike Himawari, she excels in that domain. Her strength increases dramatically, however, when triggered by Sakurako, with Himawari delivering hard kicks and even throwing her in one occasion in episode 5 of season 3.

She's very concerned about her weight and body shape in general, so much that when she finds out she put on some weight, she decides to go on a diet, hardly eating anything for 3 days straight. But she's stopped by Sakurako who states she's making Kaede Furutani worry a lot, and that they both think her appearance didn't budge a single bit. Further research reveals the added weight comes from her breasts having grown in size, which as a running gag, she's very complex about.

Aoba Suzukaze (涼風 青葉すずかぜ あおば Suzukaze Aoba) is the main protagonist of the series. She is a rookie character designer for the company Eagle Jump. She would later become Art Director and a Main Character Designer.

Aoba has a cheerful personality. She is very polite and strives to do her best for the company, but she has a childish side to her, especially when it comes to things that she likes, such as her favorite games. She is hardworking and is loyal to her friends. Due to her earnest personality, she is able to earn the respect and trust of both her colleagues and her superiors in the company.

She is also shown to have a sadistic side, as remarked by Hifumi Takimoto, as Aoba would have liked to see her squirm in embarrassment, and also teases her childhood friend Nene. This is also seen when she 'tortures' a snowman in a hot spring.

Aoba contrasts strongly with Momiji Mochizuki's personality. They appear to be exact opposites in every way, from attitude to physique.

Kou Yagami (八神 コウ Yagami Kō) is the lead character designer of Eagle Jump who was the character designer for the game that inspired Aoba Suzukaze to become one herself and a close friend of Rin Toyama. She would later become the latter's wife.

Even though Kou has a laid-back attitude, brutally honest, dense, and a sweet tooth; she is a genius at character designing, quite stern and a bit of perfectionist. Kou often works overnight to complete her work and sleeps at the office.

She has a rather lazy sense of style, being seen wearing the same black shirt or the occasional jeans or dress, this is due to her wanting to wear boyish clothes due to not being sexy. Kou is rather embarrassed when wearing posh clothes and is quite timid when being complimented on her looks.

It is implied by Rin Toyama that Kou's laid-back attitude is the latter's coping mechanism as a result of the suffering incurred from being bullied.

Rin Toyama (遠山 りん Tōyama Rin) is one of the main characters in the series New Game!. She is an art director and head of the background department.

Rin is a very nice and considerate woman who is often seen lending a hand to those who ran in some kind of trouble where she can be seen as the mother figure of the team who acts like an emotional support for them, especially Kou Yagami.

Unknown to Kou, Rin looks up to her that she is easily annoyed at how dense Kou can be.

Hifumi Takimoto (滝本ひふみ Takimoto Hifumi) is the co-worker and senior of Aoba Suzukaze. She would later become the Main Character Modeling Leader.

Hifumi is a especially shy girl to the point of avoiding talking to people or looking at them directly. As a result, in order to not make her feel uncomfortable, the other employees interact with her through the company's computer messenger system. Contrary to her normal personality, she becomes very lively, outgoing, and cheerful while texting or messaging, often using emoticons in chat. She also secretly enjoys cosplay and is a big fan of the Moon Ranger series.

Hajime Shinoda (篠田 はじめ Shinoda Hajime) is a member of the motion team of the company Eagle Jump. Although she is a member of the motion team, her desk is with the character team due to being short a desk. She would become the Director for Destruction Dodgeball along with the game's mobile version.

Other than Hajime's appearance, she acts like a tomboy who is rather athletic where she often riding her bike to work and being rather sweaty when she enters work. It is also shown in how she waves her sword-like items to visualize the motions she wants. She is also loud and friendly, greeting her co-workers in the morning with "Hey people!! 'Sup!".

Hajime is also a massive otaku, buying toys, models and figures, she also likes watching anime especially those who have heroes. She is fond of the detective series 'Dandy'.

Due to her fanboying over anime and television, Hajime has poor spending habits and is constantly on the borderline of being broke due to buying too many toys and figurines.

She is also a collector to the point that if she wants something, she will have no qualms about buying it. She usually brings her new items to work and displays them on her desk, but because of her clumsiness people can be hurt by them, like Yun Iijima.

Yun Iijima (飯島 ゆん Iijima Yun) is a member of the character design team at Eagle Jump. She would later become Art Director for the mobile version of Destruction Dodgeball.

Yun is self-conscious about her appearance and weight. Although she worries about her weight, she hates every form of exercise. She has a tendency to buy elegant clothes and commonly uses them as her outfit for work, while she usually dresses like a slob at home. Yun's alcohol tolerance is nonexistent.

It is implied that Yun is unsure about her future in the job impression interview chapter, having joined Eagle Jump on a whim.

Nene Sakura (桜ねね Sakura Nene) is the childhood friend of Aoba Suzukaze who took an interest in programming and she eventually became an intern at Eagle Jump after beta testing Fairies Story 3. She would later become a permanent employee, being a primary programmer for PECO2, gaining a knack for AI and in charge of NPC control.

Nene is described as childish, selfish, and a klutz by Aoba Suzukaze who can't stay focused on the task given to her which is why she's often seen leaving her post. She is also an otaku and a fan of Faries Story Series.

In the spin-off, it states that Nene is desperately finding her purpose in life which is the reason why she attends college.

Umiko Ahagon (阿波根うみこ Ahagon Umiko) is a programmer and a military enthusiast who has a collection of airsoft weapons in her workspace.

Umiko is the chief of the programming team at Eagle Jump. She is extremely strict when it comes to her work and would not hesitate to scold other employees when she sees them slacking on the job. Although she can seem rather harsh and intimidating at times, she does have a soft side. Umiko is actually really nice and will usually feel down about herself if she feels as though she has scared someone into hating her, such as Aoba Suzukaze. Whenever Umiko gets friendly, however, she tends to get carried away in talking about her hobbies, which can make people feel uncomfortable at times.

Umiko happens to be a huge military fan and appears to be quite knowledgeable on things like guns and just about anything pertaining to military equipment. When she's not at work programming, she enjoys playing airsoft - a hobby that she likes to converse with Aoba about (even though she expresses little interest). In her office, she also has an extensive collection of rifles that line the walls, all of which are not real.

Umiko hates it when people call her by her last name. Ahagon is a somewhat unusual Okinawan name, but the -gon suffix in standard Japanese is commonly used for "kaijuu"-type monsters. She is known to have quite a short temper, but when people call her "Ahagon," that's usually enough to really irritate her - or shoot them with an airsoft pistol.

Shizuku Hazuki (葉月しずく Hazuki Shizuku) is the director of Eagle Jump who is essentially the boss for the majority of the cast.

Hazuki tends to be a very calm and cheerful young woman who can be a bit perverted or obsessive over certain things or people, and is sometimes lazy and acts as a goofball; but she is generally very kind and polite.

She is sometimes seen as irresponsible, not attending meetings and changing game specs on a whim. This usually infuriates Umiko Ahagon, who will shoot her or flick her forehead.

Tsubame Narumi (鳴海 ツバメ Narumi Tsubame) is girl who joined Eagle Jump as an intern programmer during the story's second year.

Tsubame is a laid-back, outgoing and caring girl. However, she looks down on people that got their job through connections instead of experience and skills. This is seen when she treats Nene Sakura coldly, as Tsubame assumed she received her job through her connections with Umiko Ahagon.

Momiji Mochizuki describes her as a dependable older sister; being able to clean laundry, cook meals and do the majority of their chores.

Yuri Oshimoto (押本 ユリ Oshimoto Yuri) is the main protagonist of Teekyuu. She is a high school student (first year) and is a member of the Tennis Club.

Yuri is the only member of the club who actually knows how to play tennis. She is considered the other girls' shocking behavior. She has a younger brother in middle school named Yota.

Kanae Shinjou (新庄 かなえ Shinjou Kanae) is a high school student (second year) and is a member of the Tennis Club.

Kanae is a second year student though she does not act like it at times. She likes to do things that break norms, such as getting a tennis racket with strings made from her grandmother's hair or sleeping by standing up and with her head against the wall, and sometimes even breaks laws of physics, such as sinking into solid ground or splitting herself in two. She tends to freak out Yuri in the process.

Nasuno Takamiya (高宮 なすの Takamiya Nasuno) is the main protagonist of Takamiya Nasuno Desu!. She is a high school student (second year) and is a member of the Tennis Club.

Nasuno hails from a extremely rich family. Having returned from a trip in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon, she wants to try out for the tennis club, though she has no idea how to play. Nasuno is capable of providing for her own and other characters' outlandish ideas with her vast amounts of wealth. In her spinoff series, Takamiya Nasuno Desu!, she spends her summer at her family's vacation cottage, relaxing and ordering around Yota.

Marimo Bando (板東 まりも Bandou Marimo) is a high school student (second year) and is a member of the Tennis Club.

She has a large number of misconceptions about the world, and her antics tend to get herself and others in trouble, and sometimes in harm. Examples include wearing and actually eating a girls' panties and kidnapping a child. She does have a kind nature to her, despite her lack of maturity and self-control.
