Maki Nishikino is a main character in Love Live!. She was a first-year student at Otonokizaka High School until she graduated at the end of Love Live! The School Idol Movie. She was a member of BiBi, a sub-unit under µ's. Her image color is red, though she is also represented with purple.

Maki has the qualities of a tsundere, and she has a hard time admitting her true feelings to her peers. She also has somewhat childish beliefs which are undoubtedly reflections on her somewhat sheltered upbringing. One such example is her uninterrupted belief in Santa Claus, which the rest of the group finds out about while together. Maki continues on to describe (somewhat proudly) how she cleans the chimney for Santa, and how he never misses her house. Nico attempts to disillusion her, but is held back by other members who did not want to ruin Maki's belief.

Maki was initially portrayed as a loner in the first few episodes, and spent her time alone in the music room. Her standoffishness can be attributed to her tsundere qualities in which although she may want to get close to others, she cannot admit that and refuses, as best she can, to show it. Throughout the series, Maki opens up more and more, but elements of her solitary life before µ's crop up from time to time with her awkwardness and inability to properly admit her investment in their friendship.

Maki is also quite stubborn. This was shown when she was invited to play at the beach, as she was withdrawn from the group and not interested in playing with them.

Although Maki is not conceited nor stuck up, there are moments where her pride combined with her privileged and sheltered upbringing with few other friends lead Maki to unintentionally act insensitively or arrogantly. Despite this, µ's understands that Maki has no such intentions, and usually any questionable interaction with Maki is usually because of her tsundere side preventing her from speaking how she really feels.

Her personality often clashes with Nico Yazawa, such as when she called Nico stubborn during Season 2 Episode 4. Rin, however, tells her "You're one to talk", implying that Maki is stubborn as well.

Yoshiko Tsushima, also known as Yohane (ヨハネ Yohane), is a main character in Love Live! Sunshine!!. She is a second-year student at Numazu High School. She is a member of Guilty Kiss and YYY, two sub-units under Aqours. Her image color is white, though she is also represented with gray, black or blue-gray.

She was a first-year student at both Uranohoshi Girls' High School prior to its closure and Seishin High School (albeit temporarily) before fully integrated into Numazu High.

Yoshiko seems to be a chuunibyou, a person who holds delusions of grandeur. Bright, self-assured, smart, and thoughtful, Yoshiko has a persona who she describes as "Yohane", a "fallen angel" who has angered God and was cast from the heavens to Earth. Apparently, a side effect to being a "fallen angel" is that she is cursed with extremely bad luck, running into all kinds of unforeseen trouble wherever she goes: raining whenever she goes on trips, falling whenever it snows, not winning anything from lucky draws in convenience stores, falling sick right before exams, and so on. Because of this, she often blames herself for Aqours' misfortunes. Through her delusional persona, Yoshiko acts dramatic, cunning, and a little bit devious, and often goes as far as using dark, devilish accessories or clothing to further accentuate her "fallen angel" look as "Yohane". When acting like her, Yoshiko's voice is significantly lower-pitched.

Yoshiko has embraced this side of herself so much, she hates to be called by her real name and demands to be referred to as "Yohane" instead, going as far as to cross out her real name in her introduction and replace it as such as well as claiming herself to be the goddaughter of "Satan" Lucifer. As a result of embracing her "Yohane" side, it is hard for Yoshiko to act like a normal person (something she herself is aware of). This causes her difficulty to get along properly with her classmates and, at times, the rest of Aqours. She is often teased by her friends Ruby and Hanamaru for acting like "Yohane", which is annoying for her. Such moments can cause her voice to reveal her actual, high-pitched, voice.

In spite of all this, Yoshiko is a genuinely kind and decent girl, and isn't ill-willed by nature; she does treasure her friendship with the rest of Aqours for accepting her "Yohane" side; this is most evident with Ruby and Hanamaru, as shown in Season 1 Episode 13. Additionally, she affectionately refers to her friends as "little demons" (リトルデーモン Ritoru dēmon), particularly Riko Sakurauchi, whom she refers to as "Little Demon Lili/Riri. Her kindness is also shown when she rescues a dog along with Riko, and helps her friend overcoming her fear of dogs. Despite her "Yohane" side, Yoshiko is also able to pull off a normal conversation when it's really needed, most notably in Season 2 Episode 9.

Due to the fact the second-years are considered "the heart" of Aqours, Yoshiko has some difficulty relating to the third-years, which is shared with Hanamaru; this is due to her preference for the indoors and for calmer activities. Season 2 Episode 2 explores this, and after a rainy evening forces the girls to stay indoors, the first and third years are able to relate to the others (Yoshiko seemingly relating to Mari Ohara the most).

Yoshiko likes extremely spicy food, as shown in Season 1 Episode 10, where she ate takoyaki filled with Tabasco sauce. She also dislikes coffee.

Ai Miyashita is a main character in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. Throughout the project, she is a second-year student at Nijigasaki High School.

She is a member of DiverDiva, a unit under Nijigaku. Her image color is ultra orange.

In Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, she was a member of the Association.

As a suggestible, friendly and sociable person who's always willing to help, Ai has a lot of friends and can be seen chatting with strangers at any given time. She is also very caring, especially with her family and friends. In the neighborhood she lives, she tends to refer to all sorts of people around as siblings. Ai is very empathetic, selfless and supportive, as she loves helping others and is also very open about how much she cares about their feelings. This is particularly evident with Rina and her childhood friend Misato, as she's shown to constantly be loving and supportive to them.

Because she is a gyaru, she can be mistaken as the type of person to skip school or be rebellious. However, she has very good grades and is very fun-loving and nice. She can be a bit loud, but never in an obnoxious way, as it just serves as a mood-maker to her fellow idols. Her cheerfulness, however, mustn't be taken at all for her being dumb; Ai is indeed very intelligent and an excellent student. Also, despite her energetic, cheerful nature and somewhat goofy appearance, she's also very capable of being levelheaded and well-organized.

Ai tends to speak very casually, using a lot of slang. She is also known for her puns, many of which are not very funny to those around her. She easily laughs at bad puns, too, as she has a rather childish sense of humor.

Despite Ai having a flawless image in school and being very popular, Ai is very down-to-earth and does not perceive herself as better than others, especially her fellow school idols. She even seems unaware of her reputation, as she never pretends to be someone she isn't, nor is she conscious of whatever image she is giving off. In fact, contrary to her "cool" and "popular" image, Ai's frequent use of puns can sometimes come off as so lame that the other members react with visible exasperation.

Shioriko Mifune is a main character in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is a first-year student at Nijigasaki High School. She is a member of R3BIRTH, a unit under Nijigaku. Her image color is jade.

Shioriko is described as calm and academically gifted. She values Japanese tradition and has been trained in traditional dance and flower arranging. She has a talent for identifying people's strengths and weaknesses, and uses this to help students at Nijigasaki High School succeed in their club activities by offering advice.

In the game, she can be overly pragmatic, strict, cold and even antagonistic in her behavior; although people are initially upset upon hearing her suggestions, they become thankful when it leads to them succeeding. And despite her somewhat stiff demeanor and lack of self-expression, Shioriko is still a good person who genuinely wants to help others, and often yearns to connect with others deep down.

Meanwhile, the anime version is vastly different; despite her serious and professional disposition, she is genuinely nice, polite, supportive and kind from the beginning. Even before joining herself, she always treated the NijiGaku with kindness, and when she accidentally discovered Setsuna and Nana are the same person, she promised to keep it secret.

Mia Taylor is a main character in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She is a third-year student at Nijigasaki High School. She recently transferred from New York and is fluent in both English and Japanese. She is a member of R3BIRTH, a unit under Nijigaku. Her image color is platinum silver.

In All Stars, she was a member of the Association.

Mia is a very straightforward and competitive girl, to the point of declaring war on the player as a songwriter out of the blue. However, her confidence is a façade and she actually tends to feel insecure about her songs' quality compared to the player's. At some point, she tried to determine why she felt this way despite being convinced that her own songs were better than the player's and went to discuss the other girl's songwriting skills with Rina, who suggested she get closer to the player in order to better understand her.

Sakurako Ōmuro (大室櫻子 Ōmuro Sakurako?), also spelled Sakurako Ohmuro, is a character in the YuruYuri series who appears as a supporting character in YuruYuri, MiniYuri, makes a cameo in Reset!, and appears as one of the protagonists of Ōmuro-ke.
She is also featured in Tensei Shitara Akari dake Slime datta ken.

While she applied for the position of Student Council, Sakurako is very lazy and usually unreliable. She has very short-term memory, usually nearly instantly forgetting most things she's told about. She's very resilient in doing her homework, and Himawari ends up doing most of it. She's also showed to be a glutton.

To make things short, she and Kyōko have very similar personalities, but unlike Kyōko, Sakurako doesn't seem to do well in school, often messing up her kanji writing and ending up writing completely different things than she initially wanted to. She's also much lazier, preferring to prepare pre-prepared food rather than actually learn to cook, as shown when she asked suggestions from Yui for what to prepare for dinner, Yui tried to suggest a simple recipe that Sakurako could prepare on her own, but Sakurako kept wanting to buy pre-prepared ingredients no matter what Yui suggested.

However, she's showcased as being quite sporty, a thing she teases Himawari about since the latter is not. Sakurako looks up to her veterans, especially Kyōko. She's showed to be very gullible, usually believing most things she's told about.

Kanon Ichinose (一ノ瀬カノン) is a positive yet scatterbrained 6th grader who joins the idol group miracle2 as one of its first members. She transforms into the pink idol warrior and represents pop music.
